HRC Cross-Country Clinic
October 17 - October 18
Welcome to our very popular Cross-Country Clinic!
The morning will be a 90-minute group lesson. It will include gymnastic work and show jumping in the ring. We have another 90 minutes in the afternoon on the cross-country course. Three hours of riding!
The cost for the full day is $175.00.
Level 1 Group
This group is intended for those who have always wanted to try eventing, and haven’t yet. It is for those who may have a green horse or rider combination and want to ride in an open field over some logs, or for those who just want to improve their skills and have fun. The logs start at 12 inches to a maximum of 3 foot jumps.
The afternoon will be a chance to do some “pace control”. We will have a path of 350m up to 450m and see how it feels to ride 450m in one minute.
Level 2 Group
This group of riders have done some eventing before. They will be comfortable jumping in the open field. The morning ride will have the same format, starting in the show jumping ring, then moving out to the XC course. The afternoon 1.5 hour ride will be a 5-7 minute course, with pace control and jumps. This will be open to all riders that have completed Level 1 last year.
Boots with heels must be worn, and riders must wear an approved helmet at all times when mounted. The day will NOT require show ring dress. Breeches and collared shirt will be appropriate. XC vests are required, but we have some extras here if you don’t have your own.
All riders and owners are required to be NBEA members. Proof of membership (a photocopy is acceptable) must be emailed in advance to email@example.com.
Stabling: Some stabling is available for $20 / day. Or please come prepared to tie to your trailer for the day.
Notes on stabling
- We provide a stall with bedding
- You provide hay, feed, water and mucking out
Rain Check Policy
We are concerned with safety first during the clinic. If the weather makes it unsafe to run the clinic you will receive a refund less a $10 administration fee.
