Meet Our Team!

Jennifer Hanson CoachJennifer Hanson

Owner / Coach

I have been teaching and training horses and students for many years and since 1993 as a certified Level 1 English Coach. My involvement with horses has been a lifelong passion.

I began my riding adventures at the Rothesay Pony Club. I progressed from beginner status to one of the senior members responsible for barn chores on the weekends.

I went to Wilfrid Laurier University for my business degree. I was not long in realizing that I could help pay for my horse hobby through barn chores and teaching a few lessons. I was lucky enough to mentor under a fabulous lady who helped me to my completion of the Level 1 certificate.

Throughout the years I have shown in many English disciplines such as dressage, show jumping, eventing, Pony Club Rally, long distance judged pleasure rides and hunter paces. I have met some incredible horse people along the way.

  • Certified English Coach since 1993
  • Took the top 4 Pony Clubbers in Canada to compete in Hong Kong- we came 2nd overall!
  • Trained 3 yr old mare to NB Provincial Champion in eventing.
  • Judged shows from English equitation, jumper classes, western trail, pony club rallies and cross country events.
  • Past president of Zone 4 of the New Brunswick Equestrian Association
  • English Coaching coordinator for NB for many years
  • Organize 8-10 horses shows per year at my facility
  • Third level dressage champion
  • EC Rider Level 9- first in Canada to complete
  • Home of the Hampton Pony Club since 2008

I have the best group of students and parents that make my job not feel like work at all!

Carriane
Carriane Baronette

Lead Riding Instructor

Carriane started riding in 2003 in northern Ontario. She got her first and only horse, Bailey, not long afterwards. A now retired stocky quarter horse paint gelding who most definitely qualifies as a “Unicorn Horse,” he took her to local shows in both English and Western riding, and they spent thousands of hours together on the trails. Carriane led trail rides and horse summer camps for many years as a teen to help cover the board for Bailey and spend some more time with horses.

When college came around, Carriane took a few years off riding to focus on school and a career path. She eventually realized her passion had always been and would always be horses. She now works full time at HRC as the Barn Manager and Lead Riding Instructor. Her goal is to become a certified EC coach focusing on the three disciplines of eventing. She loves teaching all ages about equestrianism and always strives to make riding a fun and educational experience for both the horses and the riders.

Tyra, Riding CoachTyra Lingley

Instructor

I have been an instructor at the Hampton Riding Centre since 2014, where I’ve had the opportunity to grow as a horse persona and develop skills that have even enabled me to open my own boarding facility.

I’ve been actively involved with the Hampton Pony Club since 2012, and since aging out, I’ve continued to support the program through volunteer roles, including serving as the Regional Dressage Chair.

What I love most about being an instructor at Hampton Riding Centre is working in such a positive and encouraging environment. Seeing our students achieve their goals and grow in their riding journey is incredibly rewarding.

Makayla, Riding CoachMakayla Crandlemere

Instructor

Makayla has always had a love for horses and has been riding since the age of six. She began riding at Hampton Riding Centre and joined the Canadian Pony Club in 2008. During these years she started eventing and developed a strong passion for dressage. Makayla has competed at numerous Pony Club events and even attended the 2015 National Dressage Championships in Alberta, where she placed 4th at the Training Level. She has been coaching since September 2015 and is working towards her Instructor of Beginners. Makayla loves educating her young students and takes pride in watching her students progress.
