This session will be led by Amanda Jones. Amanda has been active in the horse industry for over 30 years. As a teen I competed in hunter jumpers, dressage and eventing. Finishing off her junior year showing on the Morgan circuit in saddleseat, huntseat, and western pleasure classes. From 2009 until 2018 she owned and ran Shady Acres Sport Horses in Kingston focusing on boarding, buying, and selling horses as well as retraining Standardbreds for new careers. After selling her farm, she put all of her time and energy into becoming a bodyworker, studying through the Canadian institute of Equine Canine Body Works. They offer courses from Equinology, an American based school that offers courses worldwide. Amanda has completed 3 courses with them and have obtained her EEBW level 1 and have 1 course remaining to achieve her level 2. She has been offering my services since the fall of 2019. Her clients range from backyard pets to sport horses in every discipline including harness racing, dressage, barrels and reining. In her spare time, she is working on finishing her Equine Studies Diploma from the University of Guelph, as well as studying new modalities and continued learning with webinars. She is also an Equine Canada licensed Coach and runs a lesson program on days off. She recently stepped away to focus on building her own barn. She loves riding her mare Rita and caring for the 6 horses at home with 2 more due in May and June. Horses are Amanda’s life and helping horses and riders improve is her passion.
We are lucky to have Amanda with us to introduce equine massage!
